Real people with real testimonials
I decided to take Cultivate Coach Training because as a pastor I wanted to be more equipped for pastoral moments with students and parents. I expected to grow and to learn how to be more intentional in my conversations, but I learned so much more. I learned how to communicate more clearly, ask powerful questions, and even make coaching a career. One thing that I took from the coach training was how to effectively use the coaching model, it has been SO helpful and has given me direction in how to be intentional in my time with people.
I highly recommend this course! I think it is for everyone, whether you are wanting to make coaching a career, be more effective in ministry, or wanting to work or live with a more ministry-minded perspective.
BRITTANY PRIESS / Student Ministries Pastor
I have always loved being a listening ear to people who were hurting, but I was so thrilled to get training in how to impact people more effectively. I took Cultivate Coach Training in 2016 and it was a life-changing experience. I loved the topics, and the exercises and homework moved me forward to applying the tools in my own ministry opportunities. This coach training begins and ends with the truth of Scripture and guides you to a Christ-Centered focus as you coach and minister to others. I am a volunteer at my church and enjoy listening and encouraging others– now I have tools to help move people forward. I am so grateful for this class and I definitely recommend it for anyone who coaches, counsels or ministers to others through listening and question asking. I can see that Scott and Abigail seem to have been truly inspired by God to share what they have learned to help other individuals and couples.
I took the Cultivate Coach Training and highly recommend it for anyone interested in becoming a coach. The class is very interactive, which makes it nearly impossible to not be engaged. The assignments encourage learning in a practical and realistic way that prepares students to be future coaches. Scott and Abigail’s experience helps provide insight into how to apply a Christ centered approach to coaching.
JORDAN HEATH / Specialized Case Manager
I am so grateful for the ongoing training you do at RCT. I appreciate the practical tools and resources you guys offer. As a pastor of technology, my ministry training has looked different than other pastors. The relationship tools here are not only helpful, but real, funny, and applicable to me as I work with others.
KEVIN MILLER / Technology Director, Christ Fellowship
I worked in couples’ ministries for 15+ years and never felt equipped to counsel couples. I now feel comfortable coaching any couple in the ministry. When I started Cultivate Coach Training, I expected to learn how to help people, and I did that with another important dimension: I learned how to help people help themselves. I am now confident to ask powerful questions that can be the key to change within people as they own their own change. I absolutely recommend this course for anyone from pastors to lay church workers and volunteers. These skills are invaluable to anyone helping people reach their full potential in Christ.
STACEY GILLUS / Marriage Ministry Leader, One Community Church
I took Cultivate Coach Training because I wanted to be able to work with my wife (Lisa) to coach married couples. Lisa and I had done an on-line coaching certification program with AACC but needed a deeper, more substantial training and I could see that The Family Greenhouse coaching program was a perfect fit for what I was looking for! It was just what I hoped it would be – the perfect blend of coaching process and principles along with a faith-based foundation of Christ-centered ministry. The Christian coaching model was taught extensively in the training and I have found this to be an invaluable model to go by in my coaching practice. I highly recommend this training for any follower of Jesus who has a desire and calling to coach others!
TOM HUMMEL / Forever One Marriage Coach
The Lord had been leading me to pursue a coaching certification for the past couple of years. I looked into some other programs but I just never felt the timing or program was right. This past July I found The Family Greenhouse on Facebook, and as I explored their website I found the Cultivate course (and called to talk with them about it). I signed up, not really sure of what to expect— I knew that I had many skills to learn, but what I got was so much more. Being a part of Cultivate not only gave me skills needed to coach with excellence but it grew me as a person in my own relationships. I was able to be a part of an amazing group of students who I thoroughly enjoyed learning alongside each week. To say it exceeded my expectations is an understatement. Each week I was blessed to be a part of a family of faith whose common goal is to help others get from where they are to where they want to be. One of my favorite things about this course was that Christ is at the center of everything they taught.
I would recommend the Cultivate Coach Training to anyone who is wanting to pursue Coaching as a career or even just wants to better be able to help others in their ministry positions. You will feel loved, supported, and equipped by Abigail and Scott and God will bless your socks off!
JENNIFER BONE / Christian Life Coach
Training not only helped me minister and love people better, it also changed me personally. I learned to pause, to study people and read their eyes, body language, their posture. Active listening skills and asking powerful questions to cultivate conversation and open thinking in another level to develop a personal strategy and goal plan that’s oriented by the other party, not led or driven by me. Learning to use the intrinsic motivation of the person or people I minister to is key.
I learned to understand and appreciate personalities better vs trying to change everyone to be just like me. In studying personality, it gave me a deeper love for how God specifically made all people and that the different personalities are valuable and can glorify God in a unique way. Acceptance grew from personality study. Diving into EQ was the largest impact for me personally. I had never heard of this term before.
Honestly, this training not only changed me personally, but it improved my ability to minister and love people well. It gave me the tools and skills I needed to go deeper into my conversations and truly transformed me allowing my ministry to have a positive and long-lasting effect on the people I lead. I am now equipped to love others better.
